It’s November 8, 2008, and the first thing I want to talk about is a mummy.
Now there is something strange about this Egyptian mummy. Unlike other mummies found in this temple, his coffin wasn’t decorated and he was tightly wrapped in sheep and goat skin. Normally, Egyptians would wrap mummies in linen and paint the faces of them on the coffin. Sheepskin was ritually unclean to the Egyptians to place a man in the first place. The strangest part about him, was that his face was locked in a blood-curdling scream. The people who found him called him Man E. A physician also said that his contracted stomach may have indicated that he was poisoned, but reasons are unknown. Other theories said he was an Egyptian governor who died, or an invader who was killed. Now with today’s technology, we’ve identified him as Prince Pentewere, son of Rameses III. Prince Pentewere and his mother planned to assasinate the pharaoh (Ramese III). Then he was caught and committed suicide. How? By drinking poison.
In Arizona, there were murders, which involved a family. And the culprit was an 8-year old kid who assassinated his parents. That’s two murders already. And the kid was a good kid; he never caused trouble at school or home. Now here he is in jail. Town officials and the police felt a lot of sympathy for this child; how he had to face the authorities on his own and how terrified the kid was. It wasn’t just a murder the kid decided to do, something brought him to this homicide.
